What Fauxm Beams Are
Fauxm beams are made in Canada from high-density polyurethane, and they are the only Mouldex product that arrives factory-finished. Every beam is cast from moulds taken from real reclaimed beams, so the grain, knots and character look authentic up close. See sizes, finishes and custom options on our faux wood beams page.
Why Designers and Builders Choose Them
- Lightweight: about a tenth of the weight of solid wood, so they are easy to carry, lift and install, yet hard enough to cut and work like wood.
- Finished before delivery: stained at the factory in Espresso, Walnut, Chestnut or Gray (each from light to dark) or a washed wood finish, and we can match any colour from your sample or photo. UV protection keeps the colour indoors and out, and once installed indoors there is no re-staining or sealing.
- Mold resistant: the high-density polyurethane resists mold.
- Sizes and lengths: 4 in to 48 in per side, in two-, three- or four-sided profiles, with custom lengths up to 40 ft. Faux brackets and end caps finish joins and open ends.
- Hide what you don't want seen: wrap electrical cables, pipes or steel beams in a beam that looks like it was always meant to be there.
